A Message from Katherine Radeka
Executive Director, Rapid Learning Cycles Institute

Hi! Thanks for visiting this site!
If you want to get your best ideas to market faster, you’re in the right place. I’ve helped companies like yours do exactly that, in a wide variety of industries and on every continent except Antarctica. You can read my formal bio at About RLCI.
I’ve been writing and speaking about these methods in private settings for over eight years.
That’s given time, space and a protected setting for these ideas to take root and mature. We now know that they work — repeatably — when teams embrace them with an open mind and a view towards running a good experiment. We know that when teams do this, they create an environment that pulls innovation when and where it’s needed most.
Today it’s important to me that I get this work into the hands of the people who need it the most.
We need people to get their best ideas to market faster. Around the world, many are working right now on our most important problems around public health, clean energy, renewable materials, sustainable agriculture. Other innovators work in ways, big and small, that seek to make their customers’ lives easier and more enjoyable by turning new ideas into reality.
You might work in a start-up that needs to hit key milestones in order to ensure continued funding from investors. You might work in a corporate environment that needs to invest more, and more wisely in research & development to support organic growth. You might work in an NGO or public/private partnership that seeks to drive innovation forward to benefit the public good.
You might work in a company that’s famous for innovation, or in a company that’s not been innovative in the past but needs to be innovative now. You might have some new competitive threat or a new opportunity to capitalize upon. Or you might be satisfied with how product development is going and how much innovation your teams do, but wonder, “Could we get even better and faster?”
This site shares my experiences helping companies and people get their best ideas to market faster.
This site will share some stories from companies that I’ve helped to become more innovative. It will share my experiences helping companies achieve High Velocity Innovation with repeatable results. It will describe why a pull-based approach to corporate change is more effective than most such efforts, and share how to experiment with High Velocity Innovation in small ways to prepare for larger pilot programs.
And because no one has a silver bullet that works for everything, we’ll discuss when innovation should not be accelerated, and where these methods break down. We’ll share when you should use Agile Development methods like Scrum, and even where traditional, waterfall methods are the right solution.
I want to be there for you from exploration through transformation.
Many of you will be new to Rapid Learning Cycles, the innovation management method at the center of High Velocity Innovation. My series of posts on Rapid Learning Cycles 101 will introduce you to the concepts in this core framework for innovation. If you have experience, the Mastery posts will describe how companies like yours have extended the framework further and learned how to capitalize on their improved capabilities to go even faster.
Reach out to me with your thoughts and ideas.
Finally, please feel free to comment on the posts and to reach out to me personally with your questions and thoughts. My latest book, High Velocity Innovation: How to Get Your Best Ideas to Market Faster was published in the fall of 2019. I hope you consider reading it and sharing it.
